Aikido Love is the art of taking another person’s verbal attack and neutralizing its effectiveness by redirecting it in a peaceful and nonviolent way. Aikido allows us to deal with a verbal attack or potential attack or issue while considering the safety of the attacker and participants. The goal of Aikido is a nonviolent end to a confrontation. This is ideal for anyone who deals with organizational conflict, interpersonal strife and difficult emotionally charged situations. It gives us the advantage of knowing what to say, how to say it and why it works. We learn how to stay calm and professionally handle verbal resistance, potential attack and reducing conflict.
We know that when we’re truly immersed in nature, we’re often awestruck by the magnificence, power, complexity and beauty of our natural world. An immersive environmental experience triggers a dramatic shift in your soul and your perspective,
as you realize how small our individual life seems in comparison. But it also triggers a spiritual connection a oneness with nature and a new found humility. This connection and relationship is the GROUNDING for Aikido Love.
Unfortunately, not everyone can plug into that spiritual awakening, tranquility and healing power that nature provides. Not everyone has the privilege, the economic stature or equitable access to nature. Aikido Love’s purpose is to share its principles with everyone and begin to remove barriers and inspire participation, preparation, safety, conflict resolution and access for BIPOC communities because we’re all standing on Common Ground.
