US Senator Ron Wyden engages with Love is King and Soul River
Today was an exceptional day as we had the pleasure of hosting one of Oregon’s esteemed U.S. Senators, Ron Wyden, along with his dedicated staff. Senator Wyden joined us to engage in meaningful discussions about the significant initiatives undertaken by Love Is King and Soul River Inc., both organizations committed to supporting inner-city youth, veterans, BIPOC leaders while fostering advocacy for our public lands, wildlife and Indegenious communities.
The senator’s visit underscored the vital connection between nature and advocacy for public lands, fresh water, and indigenous communities. Both organizations have made remarkable progress in safeguarding these crucial outdoor environments that are under various threats. It was a privilege to welcome Senator Wyden, alongside a diverse array of supporters such as boardmembers, partners, funders, veterans, and friends whom have played integral role in furthering the missions of Soul River Inc. and Love Is King throughout the years.
During our gathering, we engaged in heartfelt conversations regarding the recent challenges faced by many individuals across the nation. I was truly honored by his commendations for our efforts at both organizations. This occasion allowed us to celebrate our past accomplishments while eagerly anticipating future partnerships.
