There is a film called UNSEEN. It follows five U.S. veterans who bikepacked 200 miles on the Oregon Timber Trail, carrying the weight of service and the hope of healing. It is an independent film directed by our founder and Executive Director, Chad Brown, and Love Is King is proud to sponsor it.
But UNSEEN was never just a film. It was the beginning of a movement. Today, Love Is King is carrying that movement forward with the BE SEEN campaign, standing with the film, the veterans, and the community, all at once.
BE SEEN is our stand for every story that has gone untold. Nearly 18 veterans die by suicide every day in this country. Behind that number are names, faces, families, and stories that deserve to be seen, spoken, and honored.
At the heart of the campaign is the Wall of Honor, a traveling canvas journeying city to city alongside the film. At every screening, attendees step up to the wall and write the name of a veteran they honor. Each name is photographed and preserved in our online Wall of Honor, so no story is left behind. The wall launches in Ashland on October 24 and grows with every stop.
Your ticket is your stand. It brings you to the wall, where you write a veteran’s name. Bring a veteran, or send one.
And the campaign does not end when the credits roll. This Giving Tuesday, December 1, BE SEEN carries over into our $30,000 fundraising campaign for Love Is King. Every dollar fuels the veterans we serve, the community gatherings we hold, and the mission to leave no story left behind.
